How-to Setup a Label Printer on the POSA Manager

To configure a label printer to print from POSA you need: a label printer accessable from the server that the POSA Manager has been installed on, the LDN (logical Device Name) of the label printer, the label printer must have a NiceLabel driver installed on the POSA Manager server. 

Step-by-step guide

1.  Access the POSA Manager on the server. 2.  Then navigate to System > Printers

  1. Change the type to "Label" and input the name of the label printer

  1. Access the POSA device
  2. Download Server changes

Test Label printing

  1. Access the Item Lookup in POSA

  1. Scan or lookup an item then navigate to the 'Labels' tab of the item lookup and click 'Queue' within the Batch window

  1. Repeat step 7 for all items that you want to print labels for
  2. Access 'Batch Label Print" in POSA

  1. Click on the batch to then send the printing job to the label printers.
